- High School graduate
- 1 year of insurance experience strongly preferred. 6 month road experience preferred
- A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships and function as part of a team

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Drive Business Growth & New Opportunities
- Manage the retention, growth, and overall client experience of an existing commercial book of business
• Drive new business through referrals, networking, centers of influence, and proactive prospecting
• Lead client and prospect meetings focused on understanding operations, identifying risks, and positioning Schill as a trusted advisor
• Build and maintain a strong community presence to generate new opportunities and relationships
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently follow through on opportunities and business development activity

Deliver Strategic Client Advice & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary relationship contact for commercial clients, balancing advisory expertise with strong commercial outcomes
• Lead renewal conversations with a focus on operational changes, market conditions, and long-term client success
• Assess client operations, risk exposures, and insurance needs to provide practical and strategic recommendations
• Structure coverage thoughtfully to align with client risk tolerance, operations, and business goals
• Communicate proactively with clients throughout the policy lifecycle, including renewals, endorsements, and exposure changes
• Build long-term relationships grounded in trust, professionalism, and responsiveness
Manage Policy Execution & Account Quality
- Manage new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations in accordance with Schill and insurer guidelines
• Review and interpret policy wording to ensure accuracy, intent, and appropriate coverage structure
• Support remarketing decisions where needed to maintain retention and long-term account health
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely client documentation within Epic
• Produce professional written correspondence that reflects Schill’s standards and brand
Contribute to Professional Excellence & Industry Leadership
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless client experience
• Maintain strong relationships with insurer partners, underwriters, and industry contacts
• Stay informed on market conditions, underwriting trends, insurer appetites, and emerging risks
• Continuously strengthen technical knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and exposures
• Represent Schill Insurance with professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all interactions
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- Level 2 General Insurance License
• Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, products, and common risk exposures
• Solid understanding of underwriting principles and insurer requirements
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to assess risk and provide strategic insurance recommendations
• Ownership mindset with strong accountability and follow-through
• Proficiency with Epic or similar broker management systems
Nice-to-Haves

The Role
As a Personal Lines Account Manager at Schill Insurance, you’ll deliver exceptional service to our clients while identifying opportunities to go above and beyond their expectations. You’ll play a key role in building strong client relationships, managing policies, and supporting the continued growth of our Personal Lines business.
This role is ideal for an experienced insurance professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality, responsive service.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Deliver Outstanding Client Service
- Greet walk-in clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, ensuring client needs are addressed
- Respond to client inquiries and return calls in a timely manner
- Produce clear, professional written correspondence in line with company standards
Manage and Grow Personal Lines Business
- Solicit, sell, and service Personal Lines insurance for new and existing clients
- Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell by obtaining expiry dates and understanding client needs
- Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with company guidelines
- Proactively review renewals, communicate premium changes, and re-market policies as needed to retain business
Policy Administration & Accuracy
- Process renewals, endorsements, and cancellations following established procedures
- Accurately enter and maintain client data, transactions, and notes in EPIC
- Maintain complete and up-to-date client records to support team collaboration
- Create and follow up on abeyances for outstanding underwriting items and client requests
Billing & Financial Responsibility
- Collect and process direct bill and agency bill premiums
- Ensure accurate documentation of payments in EPIC
- Maintain zero accounts receivable by ensuring timely and complete payments
Claims & Client Advocacy
- Assist clients with claims by gathering information and coordinating with insurers
- Act as an advocate for clients to help resolve issues and ensure a smooth claims experience
Auto Insurance Support
- Assist with all types of auto insurance transactions, including renewals, transfers, changes, permits, cancellations, and new plates
- Support commercial auto, fleets, and specialty coverages as needed
- Handle general auto insurance inquiries with confidence and accuracy
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including underwriters, ICBC, and industry associations
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay up to date on insurance products and industry trends
- Support team operations and step in where needed to meet business needs
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- Level 2 General Insurance License
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling Personal Lines insurance
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
